A pair of black patent office heels sits amongst the paperwork of corporate life, surrounded by documents bearing the rather ominous title. The humour communicates the conflict of two worlds: polished shoes, endless paperwork and caffeine alongside paint, brushes and the ongoing pull of the studio. It captures the collision between the practicalities of a full-time working life and a lifelong need to create art.
