A year on from their first exhibition together, the four artists of SCCOCO’s inaugural cohort return to Tighnabruaich Gallery.
Second Glance is not simply a continuation of Introducing. It is an opportunity to look again — at four developing practices, at what has changed, and at what begins to emerge when artists are given time, support and space to grow.
Over the past year, Eva Hewitt, Innes MacLellan, Kirstin MacKinnon and Vlada Popescu have continued to make, question and refine their work. Each has developed in a different direction, and this exhibition brings those individual journeys back together within one carefully considered show.
The selection is deliberately focused. Rather than presenting everything, Second Glance asks us to look more closely at where each artist is now — the decisions being made, the confidence developing and the possibilities beginning to open up.
For SCCOCO, the exhibition also reflects something central to the programme: our belief that meaningful artist development happens over time.
