• Support the Collective: Invest in the Future of Scottish Art

At Tighnabruaich Gallery and the Scottish Contemporary Collective, we are doing things differently. We are not just another gallery—we are redefining how contemporary Scottish artists are supported, mentored, and sustained.

For too long, emerging artists have faced significant barriers. Many leave art school with immense talent but without the business knowledge, financial security, or opportunities they need to thrive. The Scottish Contemporary Collective was created to change that—to provide a direct, long-term support system that ensures artists are not just seen but truly supported.

This project has been entirely self-funded so far—from the purchase of the gallery to covering material costs, exhibition expenses, venue hire, and paying our mentors. We have invested everything into making this vision a reality. But to provide the first cohort of the Scottish Contemporary Collective with the full level of support they deserve, we need partners who believe in the future of contemporary Scottish art.

    SUPPORT THE COLLECTIVE

  • How You Can Make a Difference

How You Can Make a Difference

Unlike traditional galleries, we have restructured our commission model to directly benefit artists and reinvest in their futures:

    • Emerging artists in the Collective pay only 33% commission for life, ensuring they retain more from their sales.
    • Established artists pay 44% commission, with 11% reinvested into the Collective Fund, supporting masterclasses, residencies, bursaries, materials, and travel opportunities.
    • Mentors and guest artists, including leading figures like Ade Adesina and David Mach, exhibit under the same structure, reinforcing a culture of reinvestment and mentorship.

However, this model alone does not fully fund the Collective’s mission. To amplify our impact, we need committed partners, sponsors, and patrons who believe in supporting emerging artists in a meaningful and lasting way.

    Why Sponsor the Collective?

Becoming a sponsor, patron, or partner with the Scottish Contemporary Collective isn’t just an act of generosity—it’s an investment in the future of Scotland’s creative landscape.

    Your support enables us to:

    •  Expand artist residencies, giving emerging artists dedicated time and space to create.
    •  Fund masterclasses with Scotland’s leading contemporary artists, ensuring vital skills are passed down to the next generation.
    •  Offer bursaries and material support, removing financial barriers to professional growth.
    •  Provide mentorship in business, marketing, and sustainability, giving artists the skills they need to build lasting careers.
    •  Create world-class exhibitions and public engagement programmes, connecting artists with collectors, institutions, and wider audiences.

    BECOME A SPONSOR
