Introducing the Secret Coast Prize for Fine Art

30 November - 21 December 2025

The Secret Coast Open Call 2025

This winter, Tighnabruaich Gallery opens its doors to something new — a celebration of creativity, connection, and the belief that great art belongs to everyone.

The Secret Coast Open Call for Fine Art invites artists working across all mediums — painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, and small sculpture — to submit work for consideration in our annual exhibition, running 29 November – 21 December 2025.

We’re calling on artists from every background and stage — from established names to students, recent graduates, and those returning to art later in life — to be part of this landmark show. Whether you’re based in Argyll, Aberdeen, or abroad, this is an opportunity to exhibit alongside peers and mentors who are shaping the future of Scottish contemporary art.

This exhibition is about opportunity over exclusivity. It’s built on our belief that artists deserve fair representation and space to grow. Our commission model remains transparent — 33% for emerging artists, 44% for established, with 11% reinvested into artist development through the Scottish Contemporary Collective.

Selected works will be shown at Tighnabruaich Gallery and online, with prizes awarded for The Secret Coast Prize for Fine ArtThe Argyll & Bute Prize, and The Early Career Prize.

Whether you’ve been painting for decades or have only recently begun again, this is your invitation to take part. Share your work. Be seen. Help us build something lasting — a fairer, more connected art community on Scotland’s Secret Coast.
