Torture Devices documents perhaps the most uncomfortable shoes the artist has ever worn. Traffic-cone orange nods to a familiar Glasgow landmark, while the harsh pavement and drain ground the scene firmly in the city. The remaining train ticket adds a final trace of the journey - and act as an ode to the idea of certain shoes being so uncomfortable that you’d rather remove them for the final stretch of your journey.
